Punda by Night Walking Tour: Punda Vibes

Every Thursday evening (from 6 to 10 PM) you can enjoy the best of Curacao during Punda Vibes. Punda will be filled with live music, late night shopping, dance and laughter. Traditional local folkloric dancers perform at different locations during Punda Vibes. Don’t get scared when they invite you to dance. Make sure you are ready at 8.15PM to enjoy our special weekly firework show! Ask one of the restaurants for the best spot to watch the show. 

Start your evening at one of the terraces on the Handelskade (1) during the golden hour. Enjoy a cold beer while the sun is setting and the historic buildings and bridges are lightning up. You might even see the Queen Emma Bridge open and close. 

After the drink, let’s do some shopping. Pass by one of the stores on the Breedestraat (3) that are open for late night shopping on Thursday. There also will be a street market (3) with local accessories on Gomezplein. After the shopping, have a rest and a bite while enjoying Live Music at Pleincafe Wilhelmina or de Buren (3). Don’t forget to take a picture of the Curaçao Sign by night (4), it will be a good one. 

Walk further to visit the Art Alley (5) where you can join different workshops on Thursday evening, or buy a beautiful handmade souvenir by the local artists. Go creative at a ChiChi painting workshop (6). Chichi is a sensual, well rounded Caribbean figure and is often taken as a souvenir. Did you know Chichi is the Papiamentu word for ‘big sister’? Walk through the Art Alley to arrive in the Columbusstraat (7) where you can enjoy a fresh made cocktail at one of the bars to end the evening.
